Legal
Terms of Service
Last updated: July 26, 2026
These Terms are a legal agreement between you and Ropora ("Ropora", "we", "us") governing your use of the Ropora iOS app and getropora.com (together, the "Service"). They are also the end-user licence agreement for the app. By using the Service you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Minimum age
You must be at least 16 years old to use Ropora. We ask for your date of birth when you first sign in and refuse accounts below that age. If we learn an account belongs to someone under 16, we will close it and delete its data.
We chose 16 rather than a lower age because the age of valid consent for online services varies by country, and 16 clears every jurisdiction we operate in.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials secure and for activity under your account. Tell us at support@getropora.com if you believe someone else has accessed it. You may delete your account at any time from Settings; deletion is permanent.
Your content
You keep ownership of everything you upload — your photographs, captions, comments, and outfit data. We claim no ownership of it.
To operate the Service we need your permission to handle it. You grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, and transmit your content solely in order to: store it in your wardrobe and show it back to you; process it with our AI providers to identify garments and generate images; show it to the specific people you choose to share it with; and keep backups so the Service keeps running.
This licence exists only to run Ropora for you. We do not use your content for advertising, we do not sell it, and we do not license it to anyone else. It ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backup copies already made, which age out on our normal cycle.
Rules for content and conduct
You may not upload, post, or send:
- Nudity or sexual content. Photographs are screened automatically and anything containing nudity is rejected and deleted rather than stored. This applies to the whole image, including anything in the background.
- Content sexualising or endangering minors. We report this to the appropriate authorities.
- Harassment, bullying, threats, or hate speech.
- Violent or graphic content, or content promoting self-harm or suicide.
- Content you do not have the rights to, including other people's photographs.
- Photographs of other people taken or shared without their knowledge.
- Spam, scams, or attempts to sell things outside the features we provide.
- Anything unlawful where you live.
You also may not reverse-engineer the app, use bots or scripts against our API, attempt to access other users' data, interfere with the Service, or use Ropora to build a competing product.
Our Community Guidelines explain these rules and how we enforce them in more detail.
Reporting and moderation
Every post, comment, and profile has a Report action. Reports are reviewed and actioned within 24 hours. Content reported for nudity or self-harm is hidden immediately and automatically. Other content is hidden once several people report it. Hiding is not a finding against you — we review, and reinstate anything hidden in error.
We may remove content, hide it, or suspend or close an account where these Terms are broken. You can also block any user, which is independent of reporting and needs no explanation. If we close your account and you believe we got it wrong, write to support@getropora.com.
AI features and their limits
Ropora uses AI to identify garments, generate images, and suggest outfits. AI output is a suggestion, not a fact. Item details, sizing, styling advice, prices, and generated images can all be wrong. Generated images are synthetic depictions, not photographs. Check anything that matters — particularly sizing and price — before relying on it. We do not guarantee that AI features will be available, accurate, or produce any particular result.
Subscriptions and payments
Ropora is free to use with limits, and paid subscriptions unlock more. All purchases are made through Apple's In-App Purchase; Apple handles the payment and we never see your card details.
- Prices, billing period, and what each plan includes are shown in the app before you buy.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless you turn renewal off at least 24 hours before the period ends.
- Manage or cancel in your Apple ID subscription settings. We cannot cancel on your behalf.
- A free trial converts to a paid subscription automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before it ends. Any unused part of a trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under their policy.
- A lifetime purchase covers the lifetime of the Ropora service, which we may discontinue as described below.
Shopping links and affiliate commissions
Ropora shows products from third-party retailers. Some of these are affiliate links, and we earn a commission if you buy through them. This never changes the price you pay and does not influence what we recommend — recommendations come from what is already in your wardrobe.
Anything you buy is a contract between you and that retailer, on their terms. We are not the seller, we do not handle your payment, and we are not responsible for the product, price, delivery, returns, or their handling of your data. Prices and availability shown in Ropora may be out of date.
Sharing with friends
Features that share your wardrobe, wishlist, posts, or avatar are off by default and send only to people you choose. Remember that anything you share can be screenshotted or saved by the person you share it with.
Availability and ending these terms
We aim to keep Ropora running but do not promise uninterrupted service, and we may change, suspend, or withdraw features. Where a change materially reduces what a paid subscription provides, we will tell you in advance and you may cancel.
You may stop using Ropora and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close your account if you break these Terms or if we are required to by law. If we discontinue Ropora entirely we will give at least 30 days' notice, provide a way to export your data, and refund the unused portion of any active subscription.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the Service is provided "as is", without warranties about accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose, or that it will meet your needs. To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or Mexico, your statutory rights are not affected by these Terms.
Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will give notice in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use Ropora after that means you accept the new Terms.
Apple
You acknowledge that these Terms are between you and us, not Apple; that Apple is not responsible for the Service or its content and has no obligation to provide support for it; that if the app fails to conform to any applicable warranty you may notify Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price, with no other warranty obligation; that Apple is not responsible for addressing any claim relating to the app, including product liability, legal compliance, or intellectual property; and that Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce them against you. You confirm you are not located in a country subject to a US embargo or designated as terrorist-supporting, and are not on any US list of prohibited parties.
